Eight reasons why you should consider supporting Rockestra: 1. We are the first and only professional Rock & Roll Orchestra in the U.S.!   We are a fantastic cultural attraction for Siouxland. Help us keep this exciting ensemble going!

2. We enlist only the best musicians in the area.  We are a tremendous community resource and performing opportunity.

3. We energize our audiences and excite the Siouxland community.    The musicians in Rockestra perform because they believe in what they are doing, and they generate enormous  amounts of excitement and energy.  This excitement and energy is reciprocated by our growing audience. Speaking of audience and community support, did you know we averaged 312 in attendance during our first season and 556 during our second? Any guesses for Season #3?

4. We perform in a historic facility and truly make it “come alive!”  Isn’t it wonderful to see people dancing, singing, and having the time of their lives in the historic Castle on the Hill Auditorium?!

5. We enrich, educate and motivate our young student musicians.                Each season we identity and recruit the most promising young musicians in the area. When these young people perform with us they learn valuable lessons from our seasoned professionals. As of August 2006, we have 12 high school and college students and 21 music educators in the group.

6.  We offer really great family entertainment at a reasonable price. Who says Rock and Roll can’t be good, clean fun for the entire family.

7. Our music director is really cool and good-looking!  He is also a serious and dedicated leader, having earned national respect as a composer, arranger, and symphony Executive Director

8. We cannot exist on ticket sales alone.  Our total expenses are simply more than our ticket revenue. That’s where you come in. We must have additional income from private and business sources in order to pay our musicians and meet our financial obligations.
